Seniors aged 60 years and above and super senior citizens aged 80 years and above can avail of up to 9.50 per cent on fixed deposits with the additional points they accumulate as a bonus.
PSB offers a deposit rate of 7.50 per cent on FDs for 222 days and 8.10 per cent on FDs for 444 days.
PNB offers a maximum deposit rate of 7.75 per cent on a deposits of 400 days.
Dhanlaxmi Bank offers a deposit rate of 7.25 per cent on a deposit of one year or more. Seniors get an additional 0.50 per cent on their deposits.
The bank provides senior citizens with an additional interest of 0.40 per cent, with the highest rate of 7.80 per cent available on FDs of '375 days', and a rate of interest of 7.65 per cent on FDs of 400 days.
KVB offfers a deposit rate of 8 per cent on a '444 days' FD for senior citizens.
Small finance banks generally offer higher rates than larger banks. At Unity Small Finance Bank, seniors can get up to 9.50 per cent on FDs of 1,001 days.
