Indian School Of Business Launches I-Venture Immersive At The Startup Mahakumbh

The Indian School of Business (ISB) has launched the I-Venture Immersive (ivi), led by I-Venture @ ISB, at the Startup Mahakumbh in New Delhi. This entrepreneurship programme is designed for first-time entrepreneurs, where vision meets venture in a six-month, full-time, on-campus experience at ISB Hyderabad.

As India's entrepreneurial landscape flourishes, there is an anticipation of a surge of entrepreneurs, women and men, young and old, from big and small cities, starting up, creating jobs, and contributing to the economy. But starting up comes with its share of challenges and risks.

ISB is working on equipping first-time entrepreneurs with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in today's dynamic business landscape. More than an incubator, ivi gives entrepreneurs a platform to test their ideas and build a viable venture. Students will engage with thought leaders and industry experts and have the opportunity to connect with ISB's global alumni, top VCs, experienced founders, and esteemed faculty members.

The programme delves into a curriculum that covers the basics of accounting, finance, marketing, negotiations, supply chain, AI, and Data Analysis but also extends to real-world case studies taught by experienced practitioners. A cohort of 50 students across disciplines, functions, and age and gender enters the programme, every six months.

"We believe that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a venture; it's about embracing a mindset of innovation and resilience," said Prof Bhagwan Chowdhry, faculty director of I-Venture @ ISB. "ivi is not an ordinary programme; it's a journey where vision meets venture, and passion meets purpose."

"We want to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences to pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations," said Saumya Kumar, Director, I-Venture @ ISB. "They don't need a college degree or prior business experience; all they need is a passion for innovation and a willingness to embrace the challenges of entrepreneurship."

Admissions for ivi will open from May 2024 and the programme fee is Rs 8 lakhs, including on-campus stay. Scholarships are available, and funding of up to Rs 40 lakhs will be given to teams who qualify after six months.
