In a first, the Lalit Suri Hospitality group has tied up with ICICI Lombard to offer a group mediclaim policy for same sex couples, children born through surrogacy and single parents. This benefit will reach its 3,000 employees and their families.
The mediclaim policy will also cover employees who belong to the LGBTQ – lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer – community and their families, adopted children or those born through surrogacy to heterosexual and single parents.
Launching on the occasion of Global Pride Month, Keshav Suri, Executive Director, Lalit Suri Hospitality, said: “Every human being deserves to be treated equally, irrespective of their sexual orientation, caste or colour. Health is the most basic necessity for all humans, and as a leader I felt it was necessary to insure a healthy future for all our employees.”
