Vibrant Gujarat Summit: Reliance Was, Is And Will Always Remain A Gujarati Company, Asserts RIL Chairperson Mukesh Ambani

Addressing the inaugural session at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit, Reliance Industries Chairperson Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance "was, is and will always remain a Gujarati company". He noted that the conglomerate has been part of all the 10 editions of the summit, which was conceptualised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure as the chief minister of the state.

Speaking at the summit, Ambani said, "Vibrant Gujarat Summit is the most prestigious Summit of its kind in the world." He lauded PM Modi's vision for the event which attracts investors from across the world.

Talking about investments, Ambani noted that more than one-third of the firm's investments across the country have gone to Gujarat. In total, Reliance has invested over Rs 12 lakh crore in the last 10 years across India. The RIL Chairperson also made five commitments at the event for the state of Gujarat.

The conglomerate will expand its green energy capacity in the state to help Gujarat meet half of its power requirements from renewable sources. He informed that the Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex is set to commence operations in the second half of 2024.

Secondly, Ambani noted that Gujarat is fully 5G enabled which will help Jio's operations to expand in the coming years smoothly. It will also aid in bringing about AI revolution in the state, he added.

Reliance Group will strengthen the operations of Reliance Retail in the state. "We are looking to empower farmers and small merchants across the state through our investments," Ambani said.

The RIL Chairperson also announced that the first carbon fibre facility in the country will be established by the company in the coming years.

Lastly, Ambani promised that his company along with other partners will be working on strengthening sports-related activities in the state to aid India's dream of hosting the 2036 Olympics.
