Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) has added Tata Group's Superapp Tata Neu to its network. The app will be available in Food and Beverages category and cover more than 540 pincodes in Delhi-NCR and Bengaluru, The Economic Times reported.
The app went live less than a month ago with Hyperlocal delivery start-up Magicpin as its technology partner, the report added.
The company is planning to add more cities in May this year, as per the people aware of the development, ET reported.
Two of the company's apps, StarQuick grocery app, and online grocer BigBasket are already live on ONDC network.
Tata Neu is the first buyer app from Tata Group on ONDC.
magicpin, Mystore, Novopay, NStore, Pai Platforms, pincode, and Spicemoney are the other major companies active on the network in the food and beverage category.
ONDC got 57,77,231 food and beverage orders between April 2023 to March this year. In March alone, food and beverage comprised 9.55 per cent of total monthly orders of 7.68 million on ONDC.
Since its introduction in 2022, Tata Neu has been active in segments like grocery, medicines, electronics, fashion, money, payments. Although, the app is not able to attract customers in food and beverage category.
