Apple Fans Touch CEO Tim Cook’s Feet During Delhi Store Launch, See Pics From The Event

Apple CEO Tim Cook finally launched the second official store in the national capital today. The Apple Saket store was unveiled by the CEO himself at 10am. Few days back Apple opened its first store in Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. 

The Apple CEO got a celebrity like welcome at the company’s retail store Saket outlet. Hundreds of Apple fans lined up outside the new Apple store to get a glimpse of Tim Cook. The eager fans where sported lining outside the store as early as 7:30am, with queues going all the way to the outside of the mall. The buzz also included ‘dhols’ and many fans were spotted with old Apple product which they brought along to be signed by the Apple boss.

Before the launch Tim Cook, who also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said Apple was ‘committed to growing and investing across the country’.

After officially inaugurating the Saket store, Tim Cook met the first bunch of customers who went inside the store. He welcomed all with a calm smile and a ‘namaste’.

He met the initial bunch of customers individually and even clicked pictures with them and autographed for them. The high point of emotion came in when few of the Tim Cook fans were spotted touching his feet. 

The store has a 70-member strong team; half of them are women, though it is relatively smaller than its Mumbai counterpart. The team comprises of people coming from India's 18 different states who can speak more than 15 Indian languages. This is the tech giant’s first store in Delhi and second in India. Apple Saket offers services like Genius Bar, dedicated pickup stations and Today at Apple sessions. The Saket store is also 100 per cent sustainable, just like the BKC, Mumbai counterpart.
