After creating a mark with ChatGPT, OpenAI extended its scope by launching ChatGPT for iOS users. However, soon after the launch, Tim Cook-led Apple has reportedly restricted the use of ChatGPT for its employees.
According to a report in The Wall Street Journal, Apple Inc has limited the use of ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence (AI) tools as the iPhone maker too, develops similar technology. However, the use restrictions are largely limited to Apple employees.
It adds that Tim Cook-led Apple is also concerned about a potential leak of confidential data by employees, especially by those who use the AI programs. Further, it has also reportedly advised employees not to use Microsoft-owned GitHub’s Copilot that is used to automate the writing of software code.
OpenAI has been rapidly increasing the scope of ChatGPT and suiting it for the needs of users. From launching ChatGPT 4 to bug fixes, the company is busy doing it all.
Before launching ChatGPT for iOS users, OpenAI also reportedly introduced an ‘incognito mode’ for ChatGPT. The idea behind this was to ensure that the mode does not save users’ conversation history or use it in any way to develop and improve its artificial intelligence program.
Meanwhile, when ChatGPT hit its peak of popularity, something called ChaosGPT, a rather evil version of artificial intelligence system, went viral. Presumably developed from ChatGPT, ChaosGPT’s aim was reportedly to finish humanity.
