46% Of Women In India Opted For Used Cars In March 2024: Spinny

This shift marks a significant change in purchasing patterns, highlighting the increasing reliance on the used car market. 

Amidst the ever-changing preferences of car shoppers, Spinny, a full-stack platform for used cars, witnessed 31 per cent growth in Q4 FY24, indicating a surge in women buyers. According to Spinny's latest report, 46 per cent of women across the country bought used cars in March 2024, compared to 35 per cent in Q3 FY24, marking a significant milestone in the used car landscape. 

This shift marks a significant change in purchasing patterns, highlighting the increasing reliance on the used car market for automotive needs, according to a company statement. Delhi-NCR is experiencing the highest increase in women buyers at 48 per cent, followed closely by Bengaluru at 41 per cent, Mumbai at 46 per cent, and Pune at 39 per cent.

In the southern region, Kochi saw a remarkable 57 per cent increase in women purchasing Spinny cars, indicating a growing trend across various demographics. Non-metropolitan cities like Lucknow and Jaipur had 20 per cent growth in women buyers for the month of March.
