Opening Bell: Sensex opens 300 points up, Nifty 50 above 20,000 mark

The BSE Sensex was 301.82 points or 0.45 per cent higher at 67,428.90, and the NSE Nifty 50 opened 83.20 points or 0.42 per cent up at 20,079.50.

BSE Midcap, Smallcap Indices Crack 3% As Market Sentiment Turns Negative

The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices fell nearly 3 per cent each on 12 September as investors run to book profits. At 12.20 PM, the BSE Midcap fell 897.02 points or 2.71 per cent to 32,172.53, while BSE SmallCap fell 1,245.79 or 3.23% to 37,291. So far this year, both indices have surged around 27 per cent this year and gained around 45 per cent since April.
