TATA AIG General Insurance Company has launched a new health insurance plan named Health Supercharge, which provides five times (5X) health protection cover. The policy, which comes with a sum insured ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, has also been designed to meet the diverse healthcare needs of families across tier I to tier IV locations, Tata AIG General Insurance announced in a press statement.
According to the insurer, one of the unique feature of the policy is the bonus of 50 per cent of base sum insured of the expiring policy and accumulating a maximum bonus up to 500 per cent of the base sum insured in any policy year irrespective of claims, upon renewal. The policy comes with two options – Value Plan and Geo Plan.
The policy also boasts of other benefits, such as an extra premium discount of 5 per cent at the time of first inception as well as on renewals for younger families of age 40 years or below, optional covers such as Restore Infinity for Restoration of Sum Insured and option to reduce pre-existing disease (PED) waiting period from 48 months to 30 days for specified conditions as a part of advanced cover, in-built wellness services and wellness programmes, and preventive annual health check-up, which can be availed by the insured once in a policy year, irrespective of claims, by paying an additional premium.
According to the insurer, the premiums have been specifically crafted to cater to tier III and tier IV populations and the affordable customer segment of tier I and tier II cities. The policy also ensures a widespread access to quality healthcare with a network of 10,000-plus hospitals across the country, thus offering policyholders a diverse range of choices for their medical needs, the insurer said.
