Kohinoor Group has stood tall as a leader in Pune’s real estate development sector for over 38 years. The company began its journey in 1983 with the establishment of the Kohinoor Cement Trading Division, followed by the first construction project in 1989 in Bopadi under the brand name Kohinoor Construction. In 1995, the company tied up with Kimberly Clark for a project in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Other milestones in the company’s growth include the first commercial space dedicated to women under the World of Mother project in 2001 and another 300 row-houses in Pimple Saudagar constructed in 2002.

Kohinoor Group has striven to create a significant wave in the real estate sector with landmark property developments, industrial, logistics parks and warehousing. The group has so far developed and 8 million sq.ft delivered and 6.5 million sq.ft under construction across Pune. It also has diversified interests in other verticals like manufacturing, logistics.

“Real estate development has been our core business since the time of our inception in 1983. Over the years, we have developed and promoted over 8 million square feet projects in the residential and commercial segments across strategic locations especially in the PCMC area in Maharashtra,” states Goyal, a commerce graduate who has come a long way from his humble beginnings through sheer hard work and lofty vision when he turned an entrepreneur spurred by the challenges set by his father.

Today, ably supported by his sons Vineet Goyal and Rajesh Goyal, Joint Managing Directors, the group has developed and delivered over 8 million square feet to over 6500+ happy families and is currently developing over 6.5 million square feet of residential, retail and commercial spaces. The group is also going strong with its trading business under Kohinoor Agency.

Vineet Goyal wrote recently in a leading newspaper that “Pune city has always been the most favored destination for first time home buyers. Buyers and realtors across the country have always been drawn to this metropolitan city due to the weather, green surroundings, Return on investment, and Livability quotient. Although the global COVID-19 pandemic did delay launches and related revenue opportunities, Pune proved to be a resilient market that bounced back with a rapid recovery.”

From its inception, Kohinoor Group has been associated with transparency, commitment and honesty. It has earned the reputation of delivering projects on time and in certain cases, ahead of the committed schedule. Kohinoor Group has come a long way from Kohinoor Classic – its real estate vertical’s first ever project. Based on the current inventory and line-up of future projects, Kohinoor Group aims to deliver 20,000 more homes in the near future.

Besides residential properties, Kohinoor also has big plans for developing more commercial spaces and student accommodation, an area it has already made a start with its Youthville. In the commercial segment, after the success of Tower T3 in Kohinoor World Towers, Kohinoor Group has announced the launch of tower T2 in Pimpri Chinchwad area of Pune. The prime project is spread across 1.8 million sq-ft, including future development.  Kohinoor World Towers is a commercial project that is a cut above the rest. The business centre aims to bring the headquarters of major corporates, both Indian and international, within one business house.

Kohinoor World Towers has several key features that set it apart from other business hubs. The project is spread across nine acres of land, encompassing its business units, entertainment areas and parking space. The business units consist of five towers, with twelve floors each. The commercial spaces are magnificent with grand entrance, lobbies, drop-off points and spacious areas for brands to place their offices.

Pimpri has been selected for the prime project as it has emerged as the commercial hotbed for the major economic activities in Maharashtra with an annual growth rate of 15% every year and is considered as Asia’s largest MIDC. Serving more than 4000 industrial units, Pimpri has multinational auto sector players such as Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, JCB, Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Force Motors among the few of the renowned automobile brand.

5-Year Plan

Kohinoor has seen a year-on-year growth of 25-30%, thanks to its customer base. Banking on economic revival and pickup in business and consumer sentiments, the company is looking forward to continued high growth.

Kohinoor believes in their core positioning of creating spaces for mid-segment. There is a huge demand-supply gap in this segment of homes or properties in Pune, and Kohinoor wants to bridge that gap and has ventured into affordable or nano housing segments too.

Youthville Hostels

Growing student population in Pune has emerged as another key focus of the company. Youthville hostels have been specially designed to make student living, not only easy and comfortable, but also exciting, vibrant and enjoyable. The architecture is modern, youthful and aesthetically designed. The interiors are bright, colourful, spacious and airy, emphasizing the cheerful ambiance of Youthville. The target is to complete between 12,000 to 15000 beds for students by the end of 2022-23 fiscal year.

Apart from construction and cement business, Kohinoor has a presence in the hygiene sector with its tissue manufacturing unit started in 1995.
