Crypto Market Records Slight Gains, Buoyed By Higher Trade Volume; Bitcoin Up 0.88%, Ethereum Rises 0.72%

The global cryptocurrency market increased by 0.38 per cent to $1.42 trillion, while the trading volume rose 39.54 per cent to $55.48 billion in the last 24 hours to Tuesday noon, Coinmarketcap.com reported. Pyth Network (PYTH) was the most trending cryptocurrency, down 50.54 per cent to $0.3237. Its 24-hour trading volume was $107 million.

ApeCoin (APE) was the top gainer, up 8.37 to $1.49. The trading volume was $127 million.

Celestia (TIA) was the loser for the second consecutive day, down 11.23 to $5.84. Its 24-hour trading volume was $316 million.

However, the overall DeFi trading volume fell 9.28 per cent to $5.15 billion.

Commenting on Bitcoin’s performance, Sathvik Vishwanath, co-founder and CEO of Unocoin, a crypto firm, says, “Since November 17, Bitcoin has been down 2.50 per cent. Despite this, its dominance remains strong with a market capitalisation exceeding $712 billion. Technical indicators offer a mixed story, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) near a neutral 50. The four-hour chart shows Bitcoin consolidating between $35,875 and $36,650, suggesting a holding pattern. If it holds support, bullish sentiment will prevail.”

Bitcoin: Bitcoin was up by 0.88 per cent to $37,495.44 on Tuesday. Its 24-hour trading volume was $20 billion. Based on the market cap, it is currently ranked number 1 on Coinmarketcap. Bitcoin’s market dominance was 51.66 per cent, up by 0.25 per cent over the last 24 hours.

Ethereum: Ethereum rose 0.72 per cent to $2,017.01 from the previous day. Its 24-hour trading volume was $12.9 billion.

Tether: Tether was down by 0.02 per cent to $1.00 in the last 24 hours. Tether’s 24-hour trading volume was $40.8 billion. It is ranked third on Coinmarketcap.

Other Altcoins

Solana (SOL) was down by 6.72 per cent to $55.96. Its 24-hour trading volume was $1.9 billion.

Avalanche was trading at $20.80, down by 8.17 per cent. Its 24-hour trading volume was $639 million.

Cardano (ADA) was up by 0.47 per cent to $0.385 from the previous day. Its 24-hour trading volume was $414 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin (DOGE) was down by 3.82 per cent, with a 24-hour price of $0.07717.

Shiba Inu was down by 2.40 per cent to $0.000008423.

Decentralised Finance

DeFi coin was trading at $0.04604, up by 0.00 per cent.

Yearn.Finance was down by 7.66 per cent to $8,313.95 over the last 24 hours, while its 24-hour trading volume was $96 million.
