Sathvik Vishwanath, Co-Founder & CEO, Unocoin said, "The price of bitcoin saw volatile swings, causing losses for traders as US spot buyers of bitcoin ETFs clashed with profit-taking sellers. BTC opened above $71,000 and fell sharply to $65,500 during Asian trading, but bounced back to $70,500 and settled near $68,000 in US hours. The day marked significant losses for bull positions, with $200 million in leveraged futures wiped out. Despite the 7.5% decline, confidence remains high due to massive inflows into spot bitcoin ETFs. Historical patterns suggest a potential retest of $50,000, but the buy-the-dip mentality of institutional investors may limit declines to 10-15%, with $60,000 serving as a possible near-term price floor. ETFs have likely influenced market dynamics, influencing investor behavior and price stability."
