Pocket FM Appoints Byju's Creative Strategy Head As VP of Branding & Communication

Audio entertainment platform Pocket FM onboarded BYJU's global head of brand, marketing and creative strategy, Vinit Singh who left the edtech in December last year. 

In this role, Singh will spearhead the brand marketing, communications and creative charter, and will work closely with start-up's founder Rohan Nayak.  

Singh is credited with having played a pivotal role in building BYJU’S brand imagery in India and globally showcasing the expertise to build brand reputation to create relevance among the audience.  

A graduate from ICFAI School, Singh has an impressive track record, having contributed significantly to the success stories of companies like BYJU’S, Embassy Group, WeWork, Google and many more. 

At Pocket FM, his responsibilities include overseeing brand marketing and communications initiatives across key global markets to further strengthen the company’s brand image in the entertainment space. He will also play a crucial role in driving influencer partnerships and brand collaboration, with a focus on elevating Pocket FM as a leading entertainment brand, globally, the company said in a statement.

The Bengluru-based start-up has recently raised $103 million in its Series D funding round led by Lighspeed with participation from Stepstone Group. After the funding the company saw its valuation reaching at $750 million.    

According to the company, it has surpassed $150 million ARR, and is growing at 57 per cent QoQ. In 2023, it processed over 20 million transactions and claimed that its US revenue crossed $100 million in average revenue run rate (ARR) during the last calendar year.   

Nayak-led company offer 2,000 exclusive audio series and more than 400,000 episodes across genres and languages, it claims.
