Foxconn, a prominent Apple supplier, aims to expand its workforce and investment in India twofold by the upcoming year, a company representative said on Sunday.

The Taiwan-based Foxconn, is globally recognised as the largest contract manufacturer of electronics.

The supplier has been swiftly augmenting its footprint in India through substantial investments in manufacturing facilities situated in the southern region of the country, according to a media report by ET.

This strategic move is part of the company's effort to diversify its operations away from China.
