AI-powered Start-Up Daakia Secures Seed Funding

Daakia Private Limited, an AI-powered technology start-up said it has raised investments in its seed funding round. The funding amount is undisclosed.

The funding round was led by MD of Green Apple Enterprises Sasi Kumar Marasu, with participation from a few other angel investors. This significant investment will fuel the company’s mission to provide citizen-centric services to make collaborations easier, effective and thus achieve digital sovereignty, it said in a press release.

The platform aims to provide real time communication in user's regional language, for which a patent is also granted to the start-up, it said.

With this latest round of funding, the company is poised to scale its platform to serve businesses and individuals globally, and provide a cost-effective Indian made solution alternative to WhatsApp and Zoom, the statement further added.

"We are incredibly excited to have the support of our investors as we embark on the next phase of our journey," said Animesh Kumar, founder and CEO (ex-EY & IIFT alum) of Daakia Private Limited. "This funding will enable us to expand our team, enhance our technology, and reach more customers. While internet has brought people together, the world still struggles with linguistic boundaries. Through Daakia, one can have a meaningful conversation with anybody in the world in about 109 languages. We are committed to the exhortation of the honourable Prime Minister to "Code for Atmanirbhar Bharat", and truly believe in Vocal for Local and Go Global,” Kumar added.

Daakia's innovative approach to solving language barrier in the digital communications space has already garnered attention. The company has been part of Google and MEITY’s (Ministry of Electronics and IT) Appscale Academy 2023 and is registered as MSME and as a Start Up with DPIIT.

"We believe that Daakia Private Limited has the potential to revolutionize the way businesses operate and transform the user experience with its intuitive communication platform," said Marasu.

With this new infusion of capital, the company is set to scale its operations and accelerate product development, it said.
