Fasmho Energy Partners With Cyantron Synergies, To Deploy High Voltage EV Battery Management Systems Worth $10 Million

Fasmho Energy, an intelligent electric vehicle (EV) battery management technology startup, has partnered with Cyantron Synergies, manufacturers of advanced battery packs to develop high voltage battery technology for electric cars, buses, material handling equipment and trucks.

The companies will jointly develop and manufacture high voltage battery systems estimated worth over $180 million out of which, intelligent battery management units (BMUs) supplied by Fasmho are expected to be valued at over $10 million. This collaboration underscores the importance and the opportunity to develop safe and efficient BMUs to optimize battery performance and safety in India, where homegrown reliable solutions are scarce.

As a result of the collaboration, Fasmho and Cyantron will co-develop and produce over 32,000 units of custom-designed, high voltage intelligent Battery Systems over the next three years. Drawing upon Fasmho Energy's specialized expertise in battery intelligence and Cyantron Synergies' proficiency in the design and manufacturing of advanced chemistry cells and battery packs, the two companies aim to become formidable suppliers of globally benchmarked energy storage solutions to Indian EV manufacturers.

Since its inception, Fasmho Energy has gathered support from the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Startup India, iCreate and been certified as one of the Top 10 AIC Semiconductor Startups via T-Hub 2023. Within three years, it could cater to almost 13 B2B OEMs as its clients and plans to scale up nationwide to enhance the battery performance of Indian EVs.

Abdul Azeez Khan CEO of Fasmho Energy said, "India is currently witnessing an EV revolution with towns and cities placing record orders for clean and energy-efficient electric public buses and other large vehicles. Supported by our robust manufacturing ecosystem, OEMs are choosing to Make in India and we are excited to partner with Cyantron Synergies to develop and produce advanced and intelligent integrated energy storage solutions for high-voltage use cases. Be it manufacturing of electric buses or trucks, our solution will be a shot in the arm for manufacturers in India by reducing import reliance on such critical components.”

Fasmho Energy has made substantial strides in the low-voltage BMS category with its innovative approach and commitment to extensive R&D. With this partnership, it will expand into the high voltage BMS segment. They are also backed by technology business incubator, iCreate.

Cyantron Synergies’ director, Mohammed UbeduddinIn said, “In our journey supporting hundreds of clients in the EV domain, we noticed a critical gap in reliable electrical monitoring for Advanced Chemistry Energy Storage Solutions. Our solution integrates intelligent algorithms seamlessly into the EV Eco-System, ensuring real-time issue resolution. Cyantron, expanding from Cell Design to Cell Manufacturing and Battery Pack Assemblies, aims to be the ultimate solution provider.”

The partnership between Fasmho Energy and Cyantron Synergies comes at a crucial time when the high voltage and ultra high voltage energy storage needs in India are heavily reliant on imported solutions for their battery management systems and power distribution units.

Cyantron Synergies has core expertise in advanced chemistry-based electro-chemical cell designs including lithium ion, sodium ion and solid-state batteries. Under its deep tech subsidiary unit, Cell Design Studio, it has planned its own Gigafactory for Cell Production near Pune.

With this collaboration, Cyantron Synergies intends to incorporate proprietary monitoring and control systems algorithms enriched with digital twins of their cells’ designs. This alliance will enable end clients to have all the required expertise available to choose and integrate their finished product with targeted key performance indices.
