Arch0, a cloud security platform, has raised $1.25 million in a pre-seed funding round, led by Leo Capital. The round also saw participation from Village Global, Indian Silicon Valley Capital, Appreciate Capital, SuperMorpheus, and notable angel investors.

Commenting on their investment in Arch0, Ravi Srivastava, Partner, Leo Capital, said, “In the increasingly intricate world of cloud technology, enterprises deal with numerous emerging threats on a daily basis. For a robust and efficient defence against potent cyberattacks, it is paramount for tech-oriented companies to harness AI for early detection and prevention of security threats. With its AI-powered security solution and precision through real-time insights on threats, Arch0 is well-placed to become a distinct cloud security platform in the industry.”

As its immediate goal, Arch0 strives to introduce enterprise-grade security to medium-sized enterprises (MSEs) managing sensitive data and navigating stringent regulations. For the longer term, its vision extends further as it plans to rapidly evolve its offerings to address the complex security challenges faced by larger enterprises.

The start-up plans to allocate the raised capital toward attracting and onboarding exceptional talent for its core team. Additionally, a substantial portion of the funds will be deployed towards advancing the use of AI in cloud security. Arch0 also plans on strengthening its marketing and educational initiatives to educate users about the nuances of cloud security, the role of AI, and best practices for safeguarding digital assets. Through this, the start-up aims to create a more informed, secure, and resilient ecosystem for its users.

According to a report by Mckinsey, damages from cyberattacks are expected to amount to nearly $10.5 trillion annually by 2025—aa 300 percent increase from 2015. Arch0 addresses the existing challenges by transcending traditional cloud security paradigms that operate in silos, such as CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, CNAPP, etc.

Centralising on identity and weaving together insights from every phase of the cloud journey—from code development through operations, resource deployments, and data access—Arch0 empowers teams to proactively identify, prioritise, and address security threats, reads a company statement.
