Can I file a claim using a mediclaim card that doesn’t have my photograph?

A mediclaim card without a photograph will not pose any problem at the time of filing a claim. The only difference is that the hospital giving you the cashless treatment may ask you to furnish some proof of identity in addition to the mediclaim card. At the time of each renewal, insurance companies normally ask the client to submit photographs for the issue of cards. In your case, it is possible that you did not provide your photographs at that point of time or it was lost at the end of the insurers. However, if you wish, you can ask your insurers to paste the photograph on the card and authenticate it.
