Ayushman Bharat Yojana or the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana is a welfare scheme run by the government to improve the lives of the citizens of India.
This scheme provides a free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh.
There are two ways of checking your eligibility for this scheme. First, visit the pmjay website and click on "Am I Eligible". Then login with a mobile number which generates an OTP. After that, select the state, choose a category (like ration card, or mobile number) based on the state's options. If eligible, details will show; otherwise, "No Result Found" will appears in the search results
The other way to check your eligibility is by providing all the necessary documents to your nearest public service centre.
For registration, one has to go to the nearest Atal Seva Kendra or the Jan Seva Kendra and submit photocopies of original documents. After this, the Public Service Center will carry out a verification and also provide you with a registration number. After 10-15 days, you will receive a golden card from the Jan Seva Kendra.
